How I care for my Tubers...
I know they don't look like much, but these little potato like tubers will grow into beautiful garden showstoppers!

Each tuber needs to have a firm body, neck, head and a visible "eye" which will sprout into a multi-stemmed dahlia plant.
All of my tubers come from last year's plants. Each one is carefully inspected and cared for ensuring healthy tubers for the next season. I reserve the inventory for my own flower farm and release the "extras" to my fellow gardeners.

After they are washed and divided, I store my tubers in my walk-in flower cooler. I can control the temperature and humidity and ensure a safe and healthy dormancy period. I will begin to "wake up" the tubers in February and recheck each one for healthy, visible eyes before I release them into the world!
